Climb For A Cause Team To Attempt The Polish Glacier of Aconcagua in January, 2002

View of The Summit (French Route in background)

Aconcagua (pronounced Ah-Kin-Kah-Gwah), is Spanish for The Stone Sentinel. At 22,841 feet, it is the tallest peak outside the Himalayas, and a highly sought-after peak.

The Polish Glacier Route offers a more exciting way to climb Aconcagua. It is for the person who is looking for a less traveled route on the mountain. We will ascend via the Rellencho and Vacas Valleys to our High Camp at 19,200 feet. We expect to reach the summit and return to our High Camp in from twenty to twenty-four hours.
