Required Gear List
*Sunscreen
*Bug Repellant
*Head Lamp (w/fresh batteries)
*Waterproof Shell Top and Bottom

*Sun and Rain Hat (or hood)

*Warm hat or balaclava
*Telescoping Trekking Poles

*Synthetic Top and Bottom Layer (NO
COTTON!)
*Sunglasses

*Bandana or small towel
*Light Balaclava or hat
*Hiking Shoes (be sure to break these in before the hike!)
*Extra Socks
*Light Pair of Gloves (for warmth and to protect
again blisters from trekking poles)

*Water Bottles or Hydration System (3 liters minimum) Note: it's good to have at least one bottle as a back up in the event the hydration system leaks)

*Snack Food, Electrolyte Tablets, Energy Drink, etc. (sufficient for 10 hours)
*Personal Medications
*Personal First Aid: moleskin, triple antibiotic, bandages, gauze, scissors etc. (be sure to keep in water proof bag or other container)
*Toilet Paper (in zip lock bag)

*Camera (w/fresh batteries)

*Change of Clothes (socks, top, bottom)

*Fleece Vest, Top or Equivalent
*Large Trash Bag or Dry Bag (to protect change of clothes from the elements)
*Pack With Sufficient Capacity To Carry Above.

Important Note: Be sure to train with your equipment, especially, your shoes and pack so you know how to adjust it for your comfort.
