While the exact start, finish, and course are not divulged until days before the race, past events have included a 'point to point' course of approximately 150 miles through the flats and dunes of the Western Sahara Desert.  Competitors  are to arrive in Ouarzazate (pronounced wahr zi zat), Morocco, on the morning of April 2, 2010.  They then board buses for the ride to the first bivouac. Bobrow, 52, is no stranger to physical and mental challenges (for his activities and events resume click here). "I've made extended visits to the mountains, and even done some multi-day adventure races," says Bobrow "but I've never spent a solid week in the desert.  It's basically a trade-off between the challenge of  high altitude and relentless heat, and I'm attempting to modify my training accordingly."

While he assumes 100% responsibililty for his expenses associated with the event, Bobrow hopes to use it to draw attention to and raise funds for the oral health education and treatment projects that Climb For A Cause funds worldwide.
